SEVIERVILLE — The Sevier County High School tennis teams are having a strong season with a 13-2 record overall and a 9-1 district record.

For the first time in school history, both the boys and girls teams have qualified for the team district playoffs.

They head to Greeneville on Tuesday at 4 p.m. to try to knock off Greeneville High from their grip on top of the district, where the top two teams will collide for a chance to move to the regional team tournament.

In addition, Sevier County will host the district individual tournament beginning on Monday, May 10, through Wednesday, May 12, at the Sevierville City Park.
