Jackets blast past Devils

Camyan Campbell takes a handoff from Nick Pelfrey during Harriman’s 55-14 loss to Coalfield Friday night.

The Coalfield offense was firing on all eight cylinders Friday night, overcoming an early pick-six to outscore the Devils 55-7 the rest of the way en route to a 55-14 win over the Harriman Blue Devils.

Coalfield got the ball to start the game at their own 26-yard line, but Harriman’s Camyan Campbell picked off an errant Coalfield pass and took it 33 yards for the Blue Devil touchdown. The Michael Garcia PAT was good, making the score 7-0 with 10:57 to go in the opening quarter.
