HARRIMAN — Some Harriman Utility Board customers will experience two power interruptions starting at 12:01 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 25, 2022, and again on Sunday, Oct. 2, 2022, as the Tennessee Valley Authority makes enhancements to the Mossy Grove Substation’s switching equipment. The outage may last up to 3-hours.

This upgrade is important to allow faster restoration times in the event of power disruptions. HUB customers in the following areas will be affected: Mossy Grove and Flat Fork. The outage may be postponed due to weather or unexpected issues. TVA is investing over $2 billion in transmission system improvements across the service area between 2021 and 2025 to build the energy grid of the future that will continue to provide, clean, low-cost, reliable power.
