NASHVILLE — Volunteer Tennessee anticipates the availability of approximately $3.2 million in new and continuation grant funding for Tennessee AmeriCorps programs pending federal congressional appropriations. Public and private non-profit, governmental, and faith-based agencies are eligible to apply.

AmeriCorps is the national service program of the AmeriCorps agency that engages more than 75,000 Americans each year to meet locally identified community needs in the areas of disaster services; economic opportunity; education; environmental stewardship; healthy futures; and veterans and military families. Public Health AmeriCorps, created in response to the global COVID-19 public health crisis, will enable the recruitment, training, and development of a new generation of public health leaders who are ready to respond to the public health needs of the nation by providing public health service in communities.
