The Roane County Trustee’s Office will continue its tradition of opening one Saturday in February to accommodate anyone wishing to pay their property taxes in person before the deadline.
Normal business hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Mason said the Trustee’s Office will also be open on Saturday, Feb. 25, from 8:30 a.m. to noon.
The deadline to pay 2022 property taxes without penalty is Feb. 28.
The Trustee’s Office started collecting payments last fall. Mason said they have received close to $19.6 million so far. There is still about $15.1 million outstanding.
