Deputies with the Roane County Sheriff’s Office working in conjunction with the TBI and Rockwood Police Department arrested a man last week on drugs charges.
James Michael Pass is charged with unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and two counts of manufacture, delivery, sale or possession of a controlled substance.
According to a press release from the sheriff’s office, deputies along with the TBI and Rockwood police executed a search warrant at 400 E. Dunn St., Rockwood, around 12:15 p.m. on March 17.
“Upon making entry into the residence, law enforcement encountered James Michael Pass, age 55, in the living room of the residence,” the release said. “Pass was holding a plastic container that contained approximately 50 grams of suspected fentanyl that was packaged in three separate baggies.”The release said Pass also had approximately 21 grams of suspected methamphetamine and $1,063.
“Pass was also found to be in possession of packaging materials and digital scales that had approximately half a gram of suspected fentanyl on it that Pass was attempting to package for sale,” the release said.
Pass was still in custody at the Roane County Jail on Monday on a $260,000 bond. His court date was tentatively set for April 18.
