The Jim Henry Event Center in Kingston wrapped up the final ‘Summer Nights on the Lawn’ event for 2022 last week. This year was the inaugural run of the event, which has been very successful according to Christina Branham, manager at the Jim Henry Event Center.
The event started off strong, with some slight diminishing returns as the summer began winding down.
“It’s gone very well we’ve had a lot of participation and a lot of people coming out doing different things,” she said. “A Little less this time, and there is a football game at Kingston so that’s what we’re thinking is the problem. And so maybe we’re hoping when some music starts it’ll pick up just a little bit.”
The event’s success was enough that plans are already being made to do it again next year.
“It was a new event for the event center, and we will have it again next year,” Branham said. “We’ve made plans but we don’t have any features yet, we don’t have any details. We’ll have details out as soon as possible.”
Branham also said that there isn’t much that she would change to the event other than taking measures to make the event more consistent throughout the summer.
