Lillie Elizabeth Cooper Greene, age 86, of Pigeon Forge, went to join her loving husband, David Bruce Greene, on Feb. 20, 2021 in their heavenly home.
She left a legacy of loving without question and giving without expectations. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren beyond measure. Her grandchildren will remember spring and summer days spent with her at garage sales, with a stop at Hardee’s to begin the day, and a bucket of KFC to finish the day. The treasures from those days were not purchases, but memories made with the most selfless, giving lady anyone could ever meet. She also loved Myrtle Beach, where, if you were lucky, she would wake you before the sun, to go shell hunting on the beach.
Mrs. Greene was preceded in death by her husband, David; her parents, Ed and Ellen Cooper; brother, Arlie Cooper; and sister, Virgie McCarter.
Mrs. Greene is survived by her children, Sue Cole (Lynn), Pat Tarwater (David), and Arlene Ogle; grandchildren, Eric Cole (Susan), Carrie Stinnett (Chris), Tony Ogle, Ben Ogle, Doug Tarwater (Chelsea Jo), and Kelley Marshall (Will); great-grandchildren, Katie, Andrew, Caleb, Callie Elizabeth, Cole, Atticus, Elijah, Logan, Ava, David, and Lily Jo; and siblings, Alice Ogle, Edith McCarter, David Cooper (Faye), and Geneva Carver.
