Leon Dallas Drinnen, 95, of Kodak completed his journey on Earth and arrived in Heaven on Monday, March 6, 2023.
He was a member of Beech Springs Baptist Church, where he was a faithful deacon and Sunday school teacher, Mason Lodge, and a United States Army Veteran. He retired as Executive Vice President from First Tennessee Bank of Dandridge.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Ruby Lee Allen Drinnen; son, Gerald Drinnen; daughter, Cherri Drinnen Harris; parents, Amos and Francis Evelyn Drinnen; brothers, Delmar Drinnen, Robert Drinnen; sisters, Ruby E. Drinnen, Roberta (Cecil) Jones.
He is survived by his daughter, Kathy (Michael) Hillard; grandchildren, Andrew (Miranda) Hillard, Garrett (Patricia) Hillard, Sarah (Baily) Cardwell, Rachel (Matthew) Ennis, and Kristen Harris; great-grandchildren, Ava, Jackson and Sawyer Hillard, Asher and Elijah Ennis; sister, Barbara (Kenneth) Huff; sister-in-law, Georgia Faye Drinnen; several nieces and nephews, and many cousins and special friends.
The family will receive friends 1-3 p.m. Sunday March 19, 2023 at the Beech Springs Baptist Church followed by the funeral service at 3 p.m. with Rev. Sam Grindstaff, Rev. Jerry Vittatoe, and Rev. Kim McCroskey officiating with special friends speaking; Dr. Debra Cline and Rev. Hinton Harris Jr. Burial to follow at Beech Springs Cemetery with Rev. Brandon Cate officiating.
