Karl Allan Reinholtz, 80, beloved father, brother and friend passed away on Monday, April, 17, 2023 in Sevierville, Tennessee.
Karl was born in Charles City, Iowa Aug. 20, 1942, the son of Bertha Whiteside and Glen Reinholtz and grew up in Rockwell City, Iowa. He enlisted in the U.S. Army following high school and spent most of his service in Germany, until he was discharged in 1965.
Karl was in and out of the grocery business all his life. He started out owning a grocery store in Rippey, IA and ended his career of 20+ years as a meat market manager in Tennessee.
After he retired in 2010, Karl enjoyed playing video games, his favorite being World of Tanks and Forza. He also enjoyed taking road trips in his Corvette to visit friends and family in Arkansas, Colorado, and Iowa.
Remembering Karl and celebrating his life are his daughter, Karla and grandson Russell Rager of Bentonville, Arkansas; brother, Paul (Aida) Reinholtz of Security, Colorado; Phil (Alice) Reinholtz of Lake City, Iowa; step-sister, Margie Fitzgerald of Bemidji, Minnesota; step-brother, Ron Berns of Fort Dodge, Iowa; and many other family members and friends.
Karl is preceded in death by his parents; stepmother, Freida Reinholtz; brother, Leonard Haakma; sister, Nancy Jackson; stepsister, Sharon Berns Ditsworth; and stepbrother, Jim Berns.
A celebration of life service will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society(givenow.lls.org).
