David “Otis” Cantrell, 55, of Sevierville, Tennessee, left this life on Saturday, Oct. 9, 2021.
David was a loving husband, son, father, brother, and uncle. If you knew David you know that he had a big heart and a fierce love for his family and friends. He loved his family more than anything and enjoyed spending time with them doing anything from 4-Wheeling, to vacationing at the beach, to just being at home together. He had a fun, loving personality and loved playing practical jokes, especially on his hunting buddies every chance he got. He had a passion for deer hunting and the outdoors and looked forward to his trips every year. David’s larger than life personality and his laugh could light up a room and he never knew a stranger. He was a generous soul and loved helping others. He was one of a kind and will be missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his father, Junior Cantrell; step-mother, Kathy Cantrell; grandmother, Edna “Nan” Reagan; grandfather, Harold Reagan; grandmother, Rosie Cantrell; and grandfather, Lydle Cantrell.
He is survived by is loving wife of 27 years, Missie; daughter, Jordan; son, Patrick (Nicole); grandson, Hunter (Mother of Grandson Michelle); mother, Charlotte McMahan; sister-in-law, Michelle Currier; and niece, Aubree; mother-in-law, Marjorie McCoig; brother, Eddie Cantrell; brother, Gary Cantrell (Sonya); and many nieces and nephews, friends and family members.
Special friends and serving as pall bearers Chris Linnert, Darrell Breeden, Jeff Clark, Jimmy Gammon, Randy Johnson and Daniel Maner. He had many other friends and family that he loved dearly.
The family will receive friends from 5-6:45 p.m. Thursday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with service to follow at 7p.m. Pastor Ted McCoig will be officiating.
