SEVIERVILLE — Sevier County Ambulance Service Director Rick Valentine was recently elected president of the Tennessee Ambulance Service Association (TASA).
The association represents licensed ambulance services in all 95 counties of Tennessee.
The statewide association works with the Tennessee Division of EMS, Tennessee EMS Board, and the state legislature to maintain and recommend improvements to the EMS system in Tennessee.
Valentine has been a member of the TASA Board of Directors for the last 11 years and has previously served in Treasurer and Vice President positions. He has 33 years of EMS experience, holds an Associate’s Degree in Public Safety, and has several advanced medical certifications. He is also past president of the Region II EMS Directors Association.
Valentine is the son of the late Jimmy Valentine, one of Sevier County Ambulance Service’s original four employees. Valentine will serve a two-year term as president.
