The Pigeon Forge Public Library announced the recipients of this year’s Friends of the Library scholarships.

Katherine Kelly, a 2022 graduate of Pigeon Forge High School, is this year’s recipient. Katherine plans to attend Walters State Community College to study business management.

Noah Brown is the recipient of the Friends’ Joyce B. Brackins Memorial Scholarship. Noah is a 2022 graduate of Pigeon Forge High and will also attend Walters State this fall with a major in exercise science.

Katherine and Noah have been involved in our library from a young age, and have served our community in many ways throughout their high school years.

Many services provided by the library are supported by the Friends of the Library. In addition to helping fund children’s programs and purchasing materials, the Friends group also provides scholarships for local high school students.
