King Family Library displays Dettmer’s paintings in gallery
SEVIERVILLE — The Sevier County Public Library System (SCPLS) is hosting artist Liese Dettmer in the Makerspace Gallery at the King Family Library. Dettmer’s art will be on display in December during library hours of operation.
Dettmer was a successful musician in New Orleans for 30 years. During that time, she slowly moved from a musical career to painting. She was beginning to sell her art in New Orleans when her aging parents asked her to come home and care for them. She has continued to develop her style, blending it with some photoshopping. The December show will be Dettmer’s first at the library and she “sincerely hopes you enjoy her work as much as she has in painting it.”
