Sevier County Republican Party will hold county convention

SEVIERVILLE — The Sevier County Republican Party will hold its county convention on March 31, 2021. The convention will be held on the first floor Courtroom 103E of the Sevier County Courthouse at 2 p.m. At that time, the party will be reorganized with the election of officers and executive committee members. All Sevier County Republicans are invited to attend and participate in the convention.

Tennis, pickleball court lights at City Park turning on Monday

SEVIERVILLE — The tennis and pickleball court lights at Sevierville City Park will be turned on for the spring season on Monday, March 1. The lights will come on at dusk and go off at 10 p.m. each night. The lights were repaired during the off season and are now fully operational. For additional information, please call 865-453-5441.

Exit 407 part of TDOT project March 1-4

SEVIERVILLE — Motorists traveling I-40 East in Sevier County March 1-4 may encounter overnight lane closures between mile markers 405 and 410. According to the Tennessee Department of Transportation, the closures will run 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following day for roadway maintenance. Information is available at www.tn.gov/tdot.

Sevier County Bank will host blood drive on March 2

SEVIERVILLE — The main branch of Sevier County Bank will serve as the site of a mobile blood drive on March 2, 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Staffers with MEDIC Regional Blood Center encourage appointments, but walk-ins are accepted as space allows. ’Burg cancels March 2 commission meeting

GATLINBURG — The March 2 meeting of Gatlinburg Commission has been canceled. Commissioners will meet at 6 p.m. on March 16.
