SEYMOUR — A motorcycle driver was killed in an accident on Chapman Highway around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
A Tennessee Highway Patrol preliminary report identifies the man killed as Larry Hurst, 40.
The report indicates Hurst was traveling southbound on Chapman Highway at a high rate of speed on a 2003 Ducati 749 when a 2020 Acura TLX driven by Sharon Strickland, 76, pulled out of a parking lot to travel southbound.
Hurst’s motorcycle struck the back of the rear bumper of the Acura, and he was ejected off the motorcycle.
