SEVIERVILLE — The Tennessee Department of Health reported four new deaths related to COVID-19 in Sevier County.

The department’s latest data, released Friday afternoon, indicated the total number of Sevier County deaths related to the virus is now at 120, up from 116 deaths reported on Thursday.

There was also one new hospitalization since Thursday, bringing the total who have been hospitalized in Sevier County since the start of the pandemic to 216.

Active cases dropped by 100 from Thursday to Friday, going from 761 active cases reported on Thursday to 661 active cases Friday.

There were 10,704 confirmed and probable case on Friday, up from 10,663 confirmed and probable case.

There were 33 new positive tests reported on Friday out of 173 tests, for a positivity rate of 19%.
