The Sevier County Public Library System provides an array of services, programs and resources, but it’s adding another by helping connect community members with a variety of services available in Sevier County and the surrounding area to answer questions for at-risk community members and library customers.
To address issues ranging from poverty and hunger to mental illness and unemployment, the system is partnering with essential community resource agencies to offer social service sessions at the King Family Library, 408 High St., Sevierville.
The Together We Care program is a trial project that the library system staff feels would be beneficial to the residents and give the system an opportunity to partner with social service agencies to step up and meet the call to serve and care for others not so different than those served at the library.
