Three people from Jacksboro were injured in a two-vehicle wreck on Interstate 75 in Anderson County on Nov. 14, according to a preliminary report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
The crash happened at about 9:30 p.m., on I-75 northbound near mile marker 119, per the report.
Jimmy Thompson, 56, of Jacksboro, was driving a 2002 Ford Explorer, according to the report. Passengers in Thompson’s car include Derrah Storey, 26, of Jacksboro, and John Storey, 33, of Jacksboro.
Nathan Forgan, 22, of Maryville, was driving a 2017 Jeep Cherokee, per the report.
Both the Explorer and the Cherokee were traveling on I-75 northbound near mile marker 119 when, according to the report, the Explorer crossed in front of the Cherokee, hitting the Cherokee in the front bumper.
The Explorer continued off the road and into the grass median. The Explorer rolled multiple times, coming to uncontrolled final rest on its top in the median, according to the report. The Cherokee came to controlled final rest in the first lane.
Forgan was wearing his seat belt and was not injured, per the report.
Thompson was wearing his seat belt and was injured, according to the report, while the Storeys were both not wearing their seat belts and were also injured.
