Claiborne got out to an early 3-0 lead in the top of the first, but Braydon Gosnell was able to get out of a jam on the mound and end the inning.
The Jays responded in the bottom of the first with four runs, thanks to at-bats and strong baserunning from Cooper McQuitty, Elijah Johnson and Chase Harbin.
Johnson had one RBI off a double, while Harbin had two RBIs from a hit later in the inning.
Claiborne tallied two more runs in the top of the second, thanks to Jays errors, and led 5-4, heading to the bottom of the second.
The Jays bats stayed hot in the bottom of the second inning with the likes of Tyler Cook, Riley Gunter and McQuitty playing important roles in their team having an 8-5 lead heading to the third.
Both teams went three up, three down in the third.
In the fourth inning Claiborne scored two more runs to cut the deficit to 8-7, but Cooper Brayman ended the inning for the Jays on the mound and kept the lead.
The Jays once again failed to get anything going in the fourth.
Claiborne added another run and tied the game in the fifth after a throwing error on a pickoff attempt at second base.
The Jays went down in order in the fifth.
The Jays got two quick outs in the top of the sixth inning, but a two-out rally from Claiborne put the game away as it scored four runs and took a 12-8 lead.
The Jays tried to rally in the bottom of the sixth but failed to time up the hard-throwing pitcher for Claiborne.
