Back to School Bash at New Canaan in Elk Valley from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be free sports physicals, free school haircuts and free food. There will be bounce houses and games, info on community resources, a sock and underwear giveaway and prize drawings.
Williamsburg Gospel Barn hosts the Lake Cumberland Gospel Music Association singing convention and awards from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Admission is free.
Lonas Young Park will be hosting another movie night at the White Bridge at dusk.

St. Clare’s Episcopal Church will be distributing backpacks filled with school supplies needed in elementary, middle and high schools to students as part of the morning Eucharist service.

The Campbell County High School Class of 1992 is planning a Class Reunion in recognition of the 30th anniversary of its graduation. The Reunion Committee is hard at work to make this year’s event the best yet. In preparation for the reunion, please mark your calendars and save the weekend of Aug. 19 for an event at home in Campbell County.
LA Cruizers 21st Annual Car Show from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Campbell County High School. There will be a $15 registration fee. There will be cash prizes and dash plaques to the first 100 cars registered. There will also be a Longest Distance trophy. The rain makeup date is Aug. 27.
