GATLINBURG — Gatlinburg SkyLift Park, home of North America’s longest pedestrian suspension bridge, will hold a unique celebration for Gatlinburg Pittman High School’s 2021 graduates at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 19.

“The SkyLift has been an integral part of the Gatlinburg community since the 1950s, and we are always excited to see the area’s young people achieve great things,” said Randy Watson, general manager. “It’s an honor for us to celebrate these students during this milestone event.”

All Gatlinburg Pittman graduates will receive free admission to the iconic SkyLift Park and SkyBridge immediately after their graduation rehearsal. The graduates will receive special graduation caps topped with stickers saying, “Congratulations Class of 2021, from Gatlinburg SkyLift Park.” The students will wear the caps for a group photograph on the SkyBridge.

A drone photograph of the graduates on the bridge will capture them throwing their caps into the air in celebration, with the dramatic scenery of the valley and surrounding mountains in the background.

The event is open to the public, with tickets available at the Gatlinburg SkyLift Park ticket office or online at
