Two charged with burglarizing neighbors' homes
Two men are in custody facing charges for burglarizing their neighbors' homes, according to the Sevier County Sheriff's Office.
A press release issued on Tuesday afternoon reported 21-year-old Craig Stevenson of 2570 Native Dancer Way in Sevierville was arrested Monday and and charged with six counts of aggravated burglary. Daniel Gonzales Jr., 52, of 2478 Native Dancer Way, was charged one count of aggravated burglary.
Sheriff's officials believe Stevenson is responsible for the burglary of six homes in the Stables Subdivision of the Boyds Creek Community, while Gonzales is suspected as being his accomplice in one of the incidents. Both men are residents of the subdivision, the release states.
Detectives with the Sheriff's Office developed leads in their investigation that led them to pinpoint Stevenson as a suspect, and found where he allegedly sold several items of stolen property from the burglaries.
Stevenson and Gonzalez are being held in Sevier County Jail awaiting arraignment. The investigation is continuing and anyone with information is asked to contact Det. Johnny Bohanan the Sheriffs Office at 865-428-1899
