Chambers hosting ELF golf tournament
“The chambers had been wanting to work together on a project, and what better one that to help the schools?” said Jim McGill, Sevierville Chamber membership director.
All proceeds from the tournament will go towards dual enrollment scholarships and an emergency fund for Sevier County high school students.
“It went tremendously last year,” McGill said. “We raised $6,000.”
The tournament will have two sessions: A morning session, more geared towards the chambers’ business members, will begin at 10 a.m., and an afternoon session begins at 4 p.m. to welcome students. Collier Foods will supply breakfast for the morning session, and Hank’s Pizza will provide food for the afternoon session.
Individual entries are $50, while a team of four is $200. A hole sponsorship is $250, and a combination of hole sponsor/team of four is offered at $400.
McGill said that students can participate at a discounted rate.
“We are still looking for sponsors,” he added.
Sponsorship opportunities include Reindeer Sponsor, $500; Silver Bell Sponsor, $1,000; Gold Ring Sponsor, $2,000; and Santa’s Sleigh Sponsor, $5,000.
“Everyone likes to play golf,” McGill said. “Even if you’re not an avid golfer, you can have fun playing miniature golf. We’re looking forward to another good year.”
