Seymour had a huge weekend in Greene County, leaving the Greeneville Invitational with three champions and a runner-up.

Kevin Lambson (106 pounds), Chris Poore (113) and Dillon Baldwin (220) all took home titles while Ahren Burbage was second at 195. Grant Wallen (132) and David Hamilton (170) had fourth-place finishes while Brandon Dyke (120), Ethan Joyce (138), Grant Gallaspy (152) and Dakota Liedel (182) all were sixth in their respective weight classes.

Those results put the Eagles (214.5) in second among 18 teams, four points behind champion Jefferson County (218.5) for the championship.

"It was a good measuring stick for us coming off the break," said Seymour coach Alex Cate. "I was able to tell which of my wrestlers worked hard over the break on their days off and those who didn't.

"I was especially proud of Ahren Burbage, a first-year wrestler who finished. He had an outstanding day with some impressive wrestling."
