Letter: Patterson says thanks for support of Appalachian Relief

Aug. 19, 2014 @ 04:15 PM

On behalf of the Appalachian Relief Fund, thank you to everyone who helped make the 4th annual benefit concert the best ever.

Because of a lot of caring people, we raised $4,068.96 to help buy food for impoverished families in Scott County in rural Appalachia.

A special thanks to Mr. Tommy Spencer, host of Mull’s Sunday Tradition, who emceed it, and also sang; to the Tim Parton Family who helped to organize it, and to Charlotte Bise of “Jesus Talk Live” on Praise 96.3, you were wonderful; and thank you to Jason Davis, the editor of The Mountain Press.

None of this would have been without your help.

If you missed the singing, you missed a wonderful night of praise, worship and fellowship in the Lord.

Thank you and God bless you to everyone who supported this cause with donations and attendance.

Mary Patterson,

founder of Appalachian Relief,
