Dan Smith: More horrible events seem to be in nation’s future

Some things need to be said. I don’t believe in Bible Thumping, but truth must always be available to all people. Bible precepts are the basis of our nation and many others around the world.

On Feb. 13, 2012, I wrote of the defiance that our nation is going through presently. I wrote of Isaiah 9:10 and our unwillingness to repent and do the right thing. I have friends who think I am a close-minded person because of my conservative stands. They laugh me to scorn. I’m thinking of some of them right now. They embrace all that is wicked and wrong in society and think they are doing the right thing with their openmindedness.

Dr. Kermit Gosnell performed the most cruel and demonic abortion procedures I have ever personally heard of. He was finally exposed. I would not even think of describing what he did to these innocent babies while they lay on the table, some of them crying.

The abortion practice in America is the most atrocious act that has been brought to God’s attention through the cries of them from the ground.

America continues down the road of unrepentence, and again, another warning was sounded last week in Boston. It doesn’t matter who the culprits were, it is still judgment.

Who would have thought just 40 years ago, with the Supreme Court decision legalizing abortion on demand, that we would face almost yearly attacks such as we just had in Massachusetts.

Those of you who are younger will never know an America that is peaceful and good like the one I grew up in. Yes, I know there were injustices to racial minorities, and I’m glad they were corrected, but we did not even think of the violence that is being spread and perpetrated in our America today. The pressures of just living in our world today are beyond what many can cope with.

Each generation comes to realize what the norms are for their time. This changes about every 10 years. Each generation slowly degenerates from the previous one. What is acceptable now, was not a decade ago.

It is a gradual breakdown that changes our morals and allows more of what is wrong to become the new and acceptable lifestyle. I have touched on this subject in past articles.

As a nation breaks down, the freedoms that were once abundant begin to erode by circumstances that crop up out of nowhere. A strong police presence emerges to protect us from whatever the new threat is deemed to be. Most, if not all, of these threats, are not the real McCoy.

Blame is tossed at one group or person while the real catalyst is watching from cover. The threat is sold to the masses and is packaged to make it seem viable. This is known as a “false flag” event.

People are more than willing to give in and give up some of their rights and freedoms in trade, in order to have the threat stopped. This is what is happening to America today.

Our perch is being dismantled and in time, we will become subject to the gravity of our complacency, and our unwilliness to repent will have us in a freefall.

In our present state of affairs, we unfortunately have not seen the last of these terrible events such as the one in Boston. You could think of our demise like the game of Jenga. You know the one: you pull out a peg and hope the tower does not fall down. In time it will — that’s America at present.

I don’t know what the next event will be, but I do know it will come. I also believe that, “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sins, and will heal their land.”
