Letter: Obama’s ‘left behind’ ideas ignore events of recent past

The May 13 edition of the Weekly Standard relates a statement made by President Barack Obama on Oct. 30, 2012 as follows:

“This is a tough time for a lot of people But Americans are tougher because we pull together. We leave nobody behind. We make sure that we respond as a nation, and remind ourselves that whenever an American is in need, all of us stand together to make sure that we’re providing the help that is necessary.”

Hey, Barack. Do the names Stevens, Doherty, Woods and Smith ring a bell? Is the name “Benghazi” familiar?

If these four men were not “left behind,” what would you call it? What euphemism would you come up with?
