Letter: Sevierville could cut other costs beside trolley route

Editor,

First, Sevierville BOMA (Board of Mayor and Aldermen) decides to add a restaurant tax on the locals. Now they have decided to leave 34,000 citizens out in the cold by dropping the courthouse trolley route.

They say it costs $460,000 per year to operate. That amount of money seems excessive for a trolley run. May I suggest they purchase their fuel from someone other than Pilot.

One way BOMA could save money is to close one of red ink golf courses which does little to benefit the citizens.

Then they could provide a valuable trolley service to their citizens.
