As many of you know, Safe Harbor Child Advocacy Center, the local non-profit agency serving children who are victims of severe neglect, physical and sexual abuse through prevention, education and intervention relies in great part on community partnerships and private donations to support the critically important work we do.

On behalf of Safe Harbor, I would like to express our extreme gratitude to the Women’s Council of Realtors for adopting Safe Harbor as their designated charity this year. The 3rd Annual “Night at the Derby” event which they held in June at the Great Smoky Mountain Association of Realtors building was not only great fun but the organization donated the proceeds to Safe Harbor. Earlier this month, Safe Harbor was invited to conduct a child abuse prevention training at the realtors association building with Terri Williams of Re-max Preferred Properties sponsoring lunch for those in attendance.

It is an honor for Safe Harbor to continue to partner with groups across our community that are comprised of such caring individuals who are so dedicated and unselfish in their support of the abused children we serve.

For information on how you can help Safe Harbor and the victimized children we serve, or to schedule a training on how to protect the children in your care, please call Crystal Piarrot at 865-774-1777 or email her at crystal.piarrot@safeharborcac.com.

For the children,

Donna J. Koester
