Letter: A little perspective needed on Syria

Editor,

For the past several weeks, the airwaves have been filled with the barbaric chemical slaughter of almost 1,500 innocent Syrian children and adults. It is truly a sickening sight to see.

In response to these atrocities, our President and his staff have correctly labeled these reprehensible actions as completely unacceptable and morally repugnant. There is no doubt that hell waits anxiously for this type of monster.

While we here in the U.S. are appalled and angered by such unspeakable crimes against humanity, it seems we have conveniently overlooked that we have chemically butchered over 55 million of our own innocent future citizens by way of legalized abortion since Roe vs. Wade in 1973.

This equals over 3,700 innocent human lives each and every day for 40 years. Every single day!

If this inhumane and demonic mass slaughter was ever to be televised like the recent actions in Syria, we would gasp with horror seeing our very own children writhing in the same torturous agony as these Syrian citizens; multiplied 15,000 times over.

Knowing this, I guess the question begs to be answered: “Who is really the more barbaric of our 2 societies?” I’m not sure we’d like to hear the answer to that question.
