Letter: Principal thanks guests, sponsors for making Literacy Night a success

On April 17, 2014, students at Boyds Creek Elementary celebrated literacy as special guest speakers visited our school to share about various books they had authored. These guests were joined by numerous businesses which have reading incentive and teachers who set up “camp” in the gym to read to the students. Many famous storybook characters roamed the hallways visiting with students and parents, and campfires were lit outside for everyone to roast marshmallows to make S’mores. Special thanks go to everyone who contributed to bringing about an amazing evening focused on celebrating Literacy.

The administration, faculty and students of Boyds Creek Elementary School would like to thank the following businesses and individuals for making our 1st annual “Camp Read S’More” Literacy Night a grand success:
