Jameston Devereoux, 63, of Sevierville, a loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away Friday, April 4, 2014. He was a member of St. Joseph the Carpenter Episcopal Church for five years. Jameston was retired as a wildlife biologist. He proudly served our country and retired from the U.S. Army. Jameston graduated and received his Undergraduate from the University of Florida, his Master’s Degree from Yale University, and his Doctorate from Oregon State University. Jameston loved playing golf and he was an avid sports enthusiast especially dedicated to the Florida Gators and his beloved Yale Bulldogs.
Survivors: Adoring wife of 13 years, Linda Devereoux; daughters, Kimberly McKinney (Jerry), Amy Belcourt (David), and Elizabeth Bryan (Robert); grandchildren, Zachary, Makenzie, Meagan, Kelly, Jared, Brookes, Kendall, Erin, Emily, Daniel, Matthew, Andrew, Madelyn, Gabriel and Isabella; and his mother-in-law, Ruth Eisen.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Atchley Funeral Home to benefit the family.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, April 9, at St. Joseph the Carpenter Episcopal Church, 345 Hardin Lane, Sevierville, TN 37862 . Cremation arrangements by Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville.
