Roy Jay Clabo
Roy Jay Clabo, age 80 of Sevierville, went Home to be with the Lord Saturday, March 2, 2013. He was an Air Force Sergeant during the Korean War. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Pigeon Forge. Mr. Clabo was an avid UT Football fan, and he was retired from the Federal Highway Administration after 46 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 52 years, Jeanette Steadman Clabo; parents, Lewis and Rozelia Huskey Clabo; sisters, Marie McCarter, Eva Fain, Betty Maples, Anna Mae Clabo and Joyce Rimel.
Survivors: children, Michael Roy Clabo and wife Carolina, Catherine Clabo Hatcher and husband Gordon, of Sevierville, Pamela Clabo Corley of Knoxville; granddaughter, Carly Hatcher Koch and husband Jake of Vicksburg, Mississippi; brother, Jewel Clabo of Johnson City; sisters, Luella Manning of Sevierville, Freida Cole of Gatlinburg; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Betty Fulce and husband Buddy, Sammie Gore, Jimmy Steadman all of Mississippi; several nieces and nephews; caregivers, Ruth Anita Hurst, Kim Towne, and his three children.
Funeral service 7 p.m. Tuesday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Dr. Preston Joslin officiating. Interment 11 a.m. Wednesday in Valley View Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville.
