Raymond Craton “R.C.” Large

Raymond Craton “R.C.” Large, age 89 of Sevierville, passed away Sunday, September 22, 2013. He was born April 2, 1924, to Mel and Martha Large, and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II aboard the USS Memphis. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church, Sevierville.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Jessie Sims; and brothers, Herman, Dave, Rex, and Eugene “Amos” Large.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Mildred Large of Sevierville; son, Tim Large; grandson, Adam Large and wife Shani; granddaughter, Autumn Large, all of Elkmont, AL; and brother-in-law, Jack Duggan and wife Peggy of Pigeon Forge.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff of Sevier County Health Care Center for their loving care.

The family will receive friends 12:30-2 PM Wednesday at Atchley’s Smoky Mountain Chapel with graveside service to follow at 2 PM in Smoky Mountain Memory Gardens with Rev. Curtis Wells officiating. Military honors by American Legion Post 104. Arrangements by Atchley Funeral Home.
