Tommy D. Claxton
Tommy D. Claxton, 69, of Seymour, passed away Sunday Dec. 16, 2012. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved the outdoors. Retired from Robert Shaw and a member of Greenway Baptist Church. He served in the Air Force for 6 years and the National Guard for 2 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, A. C. and Leva Claxton.
Survivors: wife, Andrea Claxton; sons, Russell and Matthew Claxton; grandchildren, Ryan, Eric, Alana, and Cameron Claxton; brother, Stanley Claxton and wife Mary of Maryville; sister, Sheila Jennings and husband Cleo of Powell; brothers-in-law, Wesley Elrod and wife Donna, and Mike Elrod; sister-in-law, Nancy Bridges and husband Earl; nephews, Josh and Kevin Claxton, Chad Bridges, and Travis Jennings; nieces, April Ensley, Heather Jennings, and Valeri Lowe; uncles, Evan Claxton and wife Dot, and Gail Claxton; aunts, Bea Monger and Agnes Claxton.
Funeral service 7 p.m. Tuesday at Atchley’s Seymour Chapel with Rev. Arthur Pedigo officiating. Interment 12 noon Wednesday in Atchley’s Seymour Memory Gardens with Military Honors by American Legion Post 104. Pallbearers Jason Claxton, Kevin Claxton, Travis Jennings, Cleo Jennings, Chad Bridges, and Ryan Claxton.
