Harold Miller Johnson
Harold Miller Johnson, age 82, of Seymour, passed away April 6, 2013. He was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church. He served the south Knoxville and Seymour community as a Master Barber, checker champ and spade player at Johnson Barber Shop, often referring to himself as a “Jack of all trades” and convinced he was the master of them all.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Beecher and Dorotha Cox Johnson; brothers, J.S., Arnold, Arvole, Wallace and David Johnson.
Survivors: wife Dorothy M. Johnson; sons and daughters-in-law, Larry Johnson and wife Heidi, Wayne Johnson, Tim Johnson and wife Amanda, Travis Johnson and wife Wendy, Cory Miller Lowe; daughters and sons-in-law, Teresa Poe and husband Bill, Tena Wyrick and husband Wayne, Rita Lewis and husband Kenny, Brittany Napier and husband Andrew; grandchildren, Nikki, Scotty, Michael, Maranda, Sam, Josie, Roby, Abigail, Ivy, Belle, Trevor, Ava Rose, Samantha and Tabitha; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Laura Belle, Mary Alice, Joyce, Beaulah and Ruby.
The family would like to say a special thanks to Chelsea McCarter for all her help and care and also to Chris with UT Hospice. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to C.R.O.S.S. Ministries of Seymour or Gideon’s International.
Family and friends will meet 11 a.m. Wednesday at Zion Hill Cemetery for graveside service and interment with Rev. Dallas Moore and Rev. Justin Randolph officiating.
