Mildred Clorine Ellis

Mildred Clorine Ellis, age 82 of Sevierville, went home to be with Jesus on Saturday, April 6, 2013. She was a member of Evans Chapel Baptist Church. Mildred enjoyed cooking, gardening, and working in her flowers. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and was respected and loved by all. She was always a faithful prayer warrior for her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Ellis; parents, Leonard and Tilda Allen; sons-in-law, Tom Houk and Glenn “Wendy” Hurst.

Her survivors include daughters, Marie Hurst and husband Warren, Patsy Farmer and husband Don, Louise Hurst, Debra Houk, Sharon Smith; grandchildren, Amy and Rod Case, Samantha and Rodney Spurgeon, Amanda and Joe Ayers, Andrew and Mariah Farmer, Heather Marie Hurst, Anne Marie and Clayton LaPrees; great-grandchildren, Peighton and Lela Spurgeon, Jackson Case, Avery Blake Ayers, Kaitlyn Farmer, Chloe Treadway and Carson Thomas (due in June); sisters-in-law, Ruby McCarter, Edith Ellis; many special nieces and nephews

Funeral service 7 p.m. Monday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. Clay Sutton and Rev. David Newman officiating. Interment noon Tuesday in Caton’s Chapel Cemetery. Family will receive friends 3-6:45 p.m. Monday at Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville.
