Harry Leander Relford, age 69 of Kodak, beloved husband, father, and Papaw, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, March 31, 2014 at home surrounded by his loving wife and daughter. Harry was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church. He enjoyed woodworking and baking sweet treats for his sweetheart, Marie. Harry was welcomed in heaven by his beloved son, James R. Relford; parents, Willard and Georgia Relford; brothers, Roy Relford and TA Relford; sister, Noralee Jeffries. Survived by wife of 50 years, Marie Relford; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Johnny Brown; “Apple of his eye,” granddaughter and husband, Samantha and Casey Cooper; brother and wife, John and Melody Relford; mother-in-law, Elmina Suttle; brother-in-law and wife, James E. and Juanita Suttle; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and special friends. As much as Harry loved his family, he loved his Lord and Savior as well and trusted in him until God called him home. Harry will be missed deeply by all who knew and loved him. The family would like to specially thank their Ebenezer Church family for their prayers and support during his illness. Funeral services will be 7:00 PM Thursday, April 3, 2014, at Bridges Funeral Home with Dr. Doug White officiating. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Ebenezer Baptist Church Building Fund, 2200 Midway Road, Knoxville, TN 37914. Family and friends will meet 1:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home and proceed to Highland Memorial Cemetery for the interment.
