James David 'George' Sutton, age 79, of Sevierville, passed away, Wednesday, December 19, 2012. George was a member and deacon of Shiloh Baptist Church since 1964. He retired from the State of Tennessee, Supreme Court of Appellates. He loved fishing, gardening, and spending time with his family and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and one sister.

Survivors: wife, Juanita “Sue” Hamilton Sutton; sons and daughters-in-law, Bud and Donna Sutton, Mike and Tammie Sutton, Bobby Sutton; daughters, Debbie Berrier, Elaine Sutton; grandchildren, Cherish and Brandon McLin, Savannah Sutton, Lynzi and Travis McCarter, Nikki Sutton; great grandchildren, Addison McCarter, Kaliiannah Tallent, and expectant great-granddaughter, Noelle McLin, due February 2013; sister, Mildred Rule.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Shiloh Baptist Church Building Fund, 1432 Shiloh Road, Seymour, TN, 37865.

The family will receive friends 4-7 p.m. Friday with a funeral service to follow at 7 p.m. in Atchley’s Seymour Chapel with Rev. Glenn Metts, Rev. Kenneth Stansberry, and Rev. Rich Liner. Family and friends will meet 11 a.m. Saturday in Boyds Creek Cemetery for graveside service and interment.
