Ina Whaley Trotter

Ina Whaley Trotter, age 100 of Pigeon Forge, passed away Monday, December 30, 2013. She was born and reared in the Greenbrier Community of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Pigeon Forge for 83 years. Her daily Bible reading, her family and church friends were special to her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Winfred Trotter; daughter, Faye Huskey; parents, Marion and Addie Whaley; brothers, Minus Whaley and Carl Whaley; sisters, Eula Proffitt and Juanita Ownby; son-in-law, Jim Atchley.

Survivors include her daughter, Kay Atchley, Sevierville; son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Shirley Trotter, Sevierville; grandchildren, Leslie and Chris Blanton, Kristi and Todd Lacy, Stephanie Huskey; great-grandchildren, Blake and Parker Maples, Alexis and Austin Conner, Grace van Rij, Landon Lacy and Mary Beth Blanton; sister-in-law, Marjorie Dixon, Knoxville; special friend, Cora Chambers, Sevierville; extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to First Baptist Church, Pigeon Forge, P.O. Box 98, Pigeon Forge, TN 37868.

Funeral service will be at 7 p.m. Thursday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Dr. Dale Ellenburg and Rev. Wayne Cook officiating. Interment 10 a.m. Friday in Pigeon Forge Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville.
