3-year-old in critical condition after nearly drowning
A 3-year-old was in critical condition Friday after nearly drowning Thursday evening in an indoor pool at a local resort.
Sevierville police and firefighters responded to a call at the Governor’s Crossing resort at about 6:16 p.m, and found a bystander administering CPR to 3-year-old Morgan Linsey, of Georgia.
“A patron saw her at the bottom of the pool and yelled for help, and when they brought her out of the pool she was unresponsive,” city spokesman Bob Stahlke said. “A bystander started CPR until they arrived.”
Emergency responders airlifted the child to East Tennessee Children’s Hospital, where she remained in critical but stable condition late Friday afternoon.
No further information on her condition was available Friday.
