Sevierville police seek theft suspect
The Sevierville Police Department is requesting the assistance of the public to identify a person suspected of stealing and using several credit cards.
According to Detective D. Milliron, a purse containing credit and debit cards, checks and a small amount of cash was allegedly stolen from the 83-year old victim at the Belk department store in Sevierville on July 4, 2013. According to the victim, she had set her purse down near the counter as she was signing her check-out receipt and left the store, forgetting her purse. A short time later she realized her purse was missing; when she reported the missing credit and debit cards, she learned that approximately $3,500.00 in charges had been made at multiple stores in Sevierville and Newport.
The attached suspect photos were retrieved from security equipment at Walgreens in Sevierville, one of the locations where a stolen card was used. The suspect appears to be a white female, approximately 20-25 years old and 5’7” in height. She was wearing an orange shirt, black pants and glasses.
