Woman stabbed at Gatlinburg motel
A female victim was taken by a LifeStar helicopter to the University of Tennessee Medical Center Thurrsday after being stabbed at an apartment at 1629 East Parkway.
Gatlinburg Assistant Police Chief Gary Waldroup said Amber Leslie, 22, was stabbed at approximately 2:25 p.m. at a Hillside Motel apartment, a rent-by-the-week motel.
She was then airlifted to UT Medical Center, Waldroup said. Her condition is unknown.
Detective Tim Williams and Detective Rodney Burns are leading the investigation.
"They're still trying to put it together and figure out what transpired," Waldroup said Friday evening.
