Pigeon Forge firefighters rescued a 47-year-old Sevier County woman Thursday after her truck plunged down a steep enbankment off of Deerfoot Way.

According to a source on scene, Linda Kerry stated the brakes went out on her Ford Ranger while going down the steep road and she went off the road in a sharp curve. She was flown to UT Hospital by Lifestar helicopter.

The PFFD was helped with the rope rescue by the Sevier County Ambulance Service and the Sevier County Sheriff's Department
